A couple of days ago I was scrolling down Bordello a Parigi website when this album cover, displaying a vintage photo of two Alfa Romeo and a man (Andrea Gabriele’s father), caught my eyes.
I suddenly listened to these tracks, named with cities of Mediterranean area (Napoli, Città del Vaticano, Taranto and Tripoli) and discovered a rare gem of world music, influenced by old and contemporary electronic music and permeated with soundtrack vibes. I wasn’t really able to stop listening to it!
Andrea Gabriele was the man behind some interesting Italian electronic music projects, such as Clap Rules, and he sadly passed away in 2015. This album can be thought as his musical will and it’s really beautiful, dreamy and heart wrenching.
You can stream the EP at Babylon Radio 2 from 1 hour and 16 minutes circa, and you can also grab a copy of the record here.
